In this case study, we explore the journey of Video Dynamics, a leading industry player established in 2010, specializing in customized video and audio-visual conferencing solutions.
Video Dynamics differentiates itself through tailored conferencing solutions and top-notch customer support. However, customers often face technical issues during installation and struggle to find suitable products on the website.
The process can be challenging due to variables like room size, participant count, and work nature. This study aims to examine how Video Dynamics, with the help of Collabrium, can overcome these challenges, streamline product selection, and enhance their market presence.
As we started the Video Dynamics project, we encountered challenges related to UX/UI and branding. The previous website lacked important sections like “What we do” and “How it works,” which are crucial for building trust and clarity with users. Additionally, the UI had issues with contrast, inconsistent design format, and generic use of stock photos. The absence of brand expression left users uncertain about the target audience and industry-specific solutions. Video Dynamics needed a revamped website that not only met users’ needs and expectations but also facilitated product purchases and cloud solution licenses through e-commerce pages. To address these needs, we focused on creating a user-centric website with interactive surveys, industry-specific information pages, and an e-commerce platform with detailed filtering options, resulting in a responsive, intuitive, and engaging user interface.
Challenge & Research
We began our research journey by diving into qualitative research. With precision, we analyzed our target audience and competitors. This analysis allowed us to understand the business landscape, uncover audience desires, and reveal competitor strategies.
Next, we embarked on a comprehensive UX audit to evaluate website usability. This audit illuminated potential usability issues and guided us to enchanting improvements for an optimized user experience. Our team also conducted user-specific research to uncover challenges and requirements for video conferencing solutions in different industries. This research provided valuable insights into the desires of millennials and Gen X professionals, particularly IT managers in Sydney.
